Information about the Badminton Tournament

 

Venue:

BAUEN Badminton Arena/Mega, Kaunas

 

Date:

Start: 2024-12-07, 09:00

End: 2024-12-07, 21:00

 

Goal:

To promote physical activity and popularize badminton in the country.

 

Organizers:

Kęstutis Navickas Badminton Academy

 

Participants:

    •    All adult badminton players (born in 2006 or earlier).

    •    Categories: Adult groups B, C, D, and E.

 

Competition Format:

    •    Players will be divided into groups based on skill and ranking (B, C, D, E).

    •    B, C, D groups will compete in men’s singles, men’s/women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

    •    E group will compete in men’s/women’s doubles and mixed doubles.

    •    The competition system will depend on the number of participants.

    •    The organizers reserve the right to stop registration if the number of participants exceeds capacity.

Registration:

    •    Registration closes on 2024-12-04 at 22:00.

Financing:

    •    Travel, meals, entry fees, and accommodation expenses are covered by the delegating organizations or the participants themselves.

 

Entry Fees:

    •    One category: €20

    •    Two categories: €25

    •    Three categories: €30

 

Shuttles:

    •    Players must provide their own feather shuttles.

 

Licenses:

    •    Participants must have a valid Lithuanian Badminton Federation (LBF) license.

    •    Licenses must be obtained before the tournament begins.

 

Awards:

    •    Stage winners will receive prizes and medals.

    •    Ranking points for each stage are as follows:

    •    1st place: 25 points

    •    2nd place: 23 points

    •    3rd place: 21 points

    •    4th place: 19 points

    •    5th place: 17 points

    •    6th place: 15 points

    •    Other places: 8 points each

    •    Prizes will also be awarded to the overall winners of the 3-stage competition series.

 

Conduct:

    •    The event follows the player and official code of conduct approved by the LBF board on 2018-11-30.

    •    The tournament is open to the public and may be filmed and/or photographed.
